TnTT Results for 22 June
The weatherman said it was supposed to be high 80s with an 8-10 mph easterly. HA! It was hot, windy and hot. But despite the heat and wind, a couple riders, Anne and Cheryl broke their previous records, by 5 and 9 seconds, respectively. Yippee Anne and Cheryl!
One rider (whose name begins with J) was conspicuously slower this week and while he offered a lame excuse as the reason, we, by virtue of fractured logic and demented deduction, narrowed down the REAL reason for his sluggishness to one of the following:
1) Since he starts last, Timer Tom, in previous weeks, told him to pick up the cones at the turn around. Well, there weren’t any cones this week, so he kept riding ’til he found some.
2) He was hallucinating due to the heat and stopped to get Lance Armstrong’s autograph.
3) He brought his vuvuzela with him (No, we don’t know why) and couldn’t find a place to stash it, so he stuffed it down his shorts which resulted in a somewhat syncopated cadence and an inability to get into a decent tuck.
Thanks, as always to Timer Tom for a great job!

Next TnTT is 6 July (Tour time!).
See ya in two weeks,

There may have been a peanut butter sandwich involved. Josh has been known to stop mid-race to enjoy a delicious sandwich.
