Wow I Didn’t Know That
We have all been asking where is Jim ? Well, we have news of his Great Adventure for this year. By the way he is celebrating his 50th birthday on the road. I talked to Jim yesterday and he seems like he’s having a ball. Now for some info from Jim…
How many miles are you doing ? We avg. around 75 to 85 a day depending on terrain.
How many in the group? We Started with 9. The Group split into two different
directions and will probably reconnect in NewYork on the ACA map.
What do you carry? Self contained. Minimal clothing, Tent, hygiene stuff, propane and burner and food.

Any pics? Lots of Pic’s, One guy had a computer so he downloaded them onto my facebook page. Search Lunkerjim@aol.com or Click Here
Most of the group decided to straight line it through Wisconsin
Most of the group decided to straight line it through Wisconsin
instead of staying on the ACA maps which takes you through scenic
areas. They missed the National & State Forest Areas but caught most of the rain while they saved around 200 miles. I along with another guy/ 62 yrs. old… stayed on route.
We’ll probably catch back up to them because they ride slower anyway.
Will Keep you up to date when I can. We don’t have much time on the computer because were always on the move. I usually have just enough time to check banking and a few e-mails. I’m in Manatowoc Wisconsin waiting to get on the Ferry and cross Lake Michigan. Then we’ll ride a few hours before dark and find a place in the woods
to do our first stealth camping of the trip. No camp ground in the area we’ll be in.
Having a good time and I lost a lot of weight. I’m the strongest rider thanks to all
the riding I’ve done with you guys, so that’s a good feeling.
Had to get a new back rim built for my bike because mine had two stress cracks on it.
I’m glad the bike shop saw it and was able to rebuild it with a rim even stronger than what I had. The roads have alot of weather cracks in them, It’s hard on the rims.
Everything’s going good. Hope to see ya all soon.
Take care, Jim
