Ride Time Change!!!

Starting Sunday (Eddy, starting Sunday) the SUN, WED & FRI DBBC rides will start [at all locations] 30 min later than normal. That is correct ALL START times are now 30 min later. This is due to the darkening of the skies resulting in drivers being less attuned to bicycle riders, also allows an extra bit of time in bed… [And remember, DST or Fall back starts Nov. 6th]
Reversion of start times will be announced, stay tuned… Also see Ride Changes & Announcements
under the Rides tab.

Team Plan B Cycling

Away or No Away. The Club seems to have a problem pulling riders out for away rides. This must have something to do with our having problems pulling people out for meetings. I know, what meetings you say, I can verify that the club will have a meeting from time to time. Look for the next meeting date listed right here on this very site.

We need some ideas on how to proceed. We could just go on having 2 or 3 people show up for the away ride. But when 2 or 3 riders show up it’s like going for ice cream and the clerk says we are all out, WHAT! Away rides should be a special event, something to look forward to. So go out to the garage, put on your cycling helmet and think of a way we can bring new life to this old tradition. While your there you may want to clean your bike, I see lots of dirty bikes on our DBBC rides. Think Clean, Be Creative and oh yes report back… just use the comment box below this post. Yahala Bakery Mt Dora... Worth the ride.

Just a few brave soles attended the “AWAY RIDE”… Bill, Susan, Cheryl, Ron, John, Jim, Eric & Fred. 54 miles on great Lake County roads. A few hills but not bad at all. But wait, we do have 80+ members? It would be nice to have more come on our away rides. Anyway, we had desert first at the bakery then rode back to Mt Dora for lunch at the Frosty Mug.
